Job Announcement:

The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC)and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) are actively seeking a full time pediatric orthopaedic surgeon for surgical director of the sports medicine program to join the faculty in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at CHLA and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at KSOM of USC.

The successful candidate will join 13 other full-time faculty members in the Children’s Orthopaedic Center at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The primary responsibility of this individual will be the orthopaedic care of children and adolescents with sports injuries. They will oversee a growing sports medicine team that includes primary care sports medicine physicians and athletic trainers. The faculty member will actively teach medical students, orthopaedic residents, and pediatric orthopaedic fellows, and participate in clinical research. Other responsibilities will include management of other pediatric orthopaedic patients, including trauma patients. A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered.

Applicants must have completed an accredited orthopedic surgery residency program, pediatric orthopaedic surgery fellowship, and sports medicine fellowship, and must be board-certified or board-eligible. A valid California medical license and a California fluoroscopy license are required prior to commencing work.

CHLA is the largest and most comprehensive pediatric hospital in the Los Angeles area, and is the only freestanding pediatric hospital in Los Angeles with a Level I pediatric trauma center. The Children’s Orthopaedic Center also features the renowned John C. Wilson, Jr. Motion Analysis Laboratory, a source of outstanding clinical care and research.
